Chitwan National Park

The Chitwan National Park is a successful example of nature conservation in South Asia. It is the first National Park of Nepal established in 1973 to preserve the unique feature of eco system significantly valuable for the whole world. The Park declared as UNESCO world heritage site, covering the well protected area of 932 Sq. Km. situated in the central southern low land bordering to India in the south. Just about 5 hours of drive or 20 minutes flight from Kathamndu, it is easily accessible and home to over 50 specious of Mammals, 55 species of amphibians and reptiles and more than 450 species of birds. The great one-horned Rhino, Royal Bengal Tiger, Spotted Leopard, wild Bison, many different kinds of Monkey, Sloth Bear, different species of Crocodile and Gigantic Dolphin makes their home in the National Park. The small pond, Lakes and wetland inside the National park helps to make a best home for many different wildlife.
