Everest High Pass Trek

The Everest high pass trek is an adventure trek in Everest region. This trek combines the three major high passes Kongma la, Chola la and Renjo la. It is the adventurious trekking trail compare to other Everest trekking trails. Crossing the high passes of Everest, this trek demands physical and mental strength. Trekking in the high pass, this trek offers some of the most spectacular landscapes in the Himalaya and beaufitul mountain views. Not only adventure, this trek is a window into traditional Sherpa villages and "Buddhist monasteries" their mountain Buddhist culture, sacred peaks and valley.

The trek start from Katmandu will fly to Lukla and follow the classic Everest trail through Namche Bazaar, Tyangboche and Dingboche to the Kongma La pass surrounded by dramatic views of Mt Everest, Ama Dablam, Makalu, Lhotse and Nuptse face. Via Kongma La pass, you will descend to the Khumbu glacier and then ascend KalaPatar for breathtaking close-up views of Mount Everest and see other Himalayan giants. You traverse the Cho La pass to Gokyo, where we explore the glacier valley and beautiful glacier Lake then climb Gokyo Ri enjoy more excellent mountain views including another angle of Everest, and Cho Oyu on the Tibetan border to the north then bear west to scramble across the Renjo La, dramatically back-dropped by the Everest range, to enter the Bhote Kosi valley, where you walk along grazing pastures and a trading route used by Yak trains from Tibet to Thame. Those are major attraction during this adventure trek. It is a short day from Thame to Namche Bazaar, where we will re-trace your earlier steps to Lukla and then fly back to Katmandu.

Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu, pick up from the airport and transfer to hotel, rest and refresh for couple of hour and complete the official formalities, visit local market around Thamel.

Day 02: Guided tour around Kathmandu valley.( Symbhunath, Kathmandu durbar squire, Pashupatinath and Buddhanath) This day sightseeing tour will take you to visit all the major historical, cultural monuments and sites of Kathmandu valley. After finished sightseeing in the evening necessary preparation for the trek.

Day 03: Kathmandu - lukla - Phakding (2600m), 3 hrs

Day 04: Phakding - Namche (3440m) 5 hrs

Day 05: Rest day hike up Khumjung via Syngbochhe and visit Sherpa village.

Day 06: Namche - Tengboche (3860m), 5hrs Day 07 : Tengboche - Dingboche (4320m), 5 hrs

Day 08: Rest day

Day 09: Dingboche - Chhukung (4700m), 3 hrs and after lunch hike up Chuking Ri 5360m

Day 10: Chhukung - Khongma La Pass (5535m) - Lobuche (4900m) 8/9 hrs

Day 11: Lobuche - Gorekshep (5170m), 3hrs

Day 12: Gorekshep - Kalapathar - Everest Base Camp - Gorakshep, 8 hrs round trip

Day 13: Gorekshep - Dzongla (4900m), 6 hrs

Day 14: Dzongal - Chola pass (5420m) - Thangna (4700m), 7 hrs

Day 15: Thangna - Gokyo (4700m), 3 hrs.

Day 16: Rest day visit fifth lake.

Day 17: Gokyo - Taranga –Lungden ( over the Renzo pass (5338m), 7-8 hrs

Day 18: Lungden - Thame (3800m), 4hrs

Day 19: Thame - Monju (2800m), 5hrs

Day 20: Monju- Lukla (2800m), 4 hrs

Day 21: Lukla - Kathmandu, in the morning time fly back to Kathmandu.

Day 22: Relax and shopping.

Day 23: Depature.
