verest Renjo-la pass Gokyo ri Trekking newly opened trekking route that had been forbidden for westerners until its recent opening for trekkers. The trek is our endeavor to discover Everest region through several dazzling view points and the ancient trails believed to be used by Sherpa's of late fifteenth centuries, who travelled from Tibet and Settled in Khumbu region of Nepal. The trail is used by Sherpa traders and Tibetan monks in present days. The trail offers extraordinary flora and fauna, breathtaking views of 8000 meters Peaks of Cho oyu, Everest, Lhotse, Makalu with many other picturesque mountains, affluent culture and tradition of Sherpa's, rich unique bio diversity nowhere else on earth, bizarre landscapes of Himalayan region but yet merely incredible.

Everest Renjo la pass Gokyo Ri Trekking can be a dream trip for those who loves Mountains, lakes and Nature with a twist of ancient culture and tradition of Himalayas. The trek is considered as one of the challenging trek of Everest region. The main attraction of this trek is the breath taking view of Himalayan range and five blue sacred lakes of Gokyo. The Renjo la pass connects Gokyo with Nangpala with the breath taking view of Himalayan peaks and landscapes. The trek is best during the end of monsoon season when the high altitude unique flowers pop out in Nangpala, giving the trekkers the illusion that they are walking on textured carpet but trips can be made during all seasons except on monsoon and deep winters.

Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu International airport, pick up by our representative and transfer to hotel of your choice. Evening free to rest or explore around local places.

Day 02: Full day guided sightseeing tour around Kathmandu valley including Pashupatinath Temple, Boudha stupa, Patan also known as city of fine arts, swoyambhu and Kathmandu durbar square. Places are famous historic, cultural and religious spots, some of them are listed on UNESCO world heritage sites.

Day 03: Morning flight to Lukla(2840m), after breakfast in Lukla trek to Phakding(2610m). The trail smoothly descends toward Surkhe and passes below to Chaurikharka(yak pasture) and some gentle climb before reaching Phakding in late afternoon. It takes 4 hours.

Day 04: 4 - 5 hours trek to Namche Bazaar (3440m),referred as Gateway to Everest. The trail goes along the right bank of Dudh Koshi river up to Bengar, then climbs from the riverbed on the left bank into the mountain, through a forest upto chumao and after several ups and downs we reach tiny village of Monjo, entering point of Sagarmatha National Park and steep ascent to the town of Namche for overnight stay.

Day 05: Acclimatization day in Namche, acclimatization is a very important while travelling on high altitudes. Morning visit to Everest View Point from where you can enjoy the first view of Everest and many other neighboring peaks and descend back to Namche where you can explore to see the culture tradition and lifestyle of Sherpa peoples.

Day 06: Trek starts after having breakfast in Namche and follows the picturesque bulky array of colorful prayer flags, with several chortens and mani stones from Namche gompa. It takes around 6 hours to reach Thame. Thame is a small monastery village, situated at the altitude of 3820m and the birth place of Tenzing Norgay Sherpa first man to reach Everest summit with Edmund hillary.

Day 07: Trek from Thame village to Taranga(4645m). After trekking for 6 hours in the high altitude province we finally reach Taranga. The trail passes through green yak pastures, several chortens and deserted landscapes. The village have only one lodge named Renjo- la support lodge.

Day 08: Taranga to Gokyo(4790m) via Renjo la pass. We will start our trek early in the morning with a steep ascent of about 5 hours till Renjo la pass and then extreme downhill for 3 hours before reaching Gokyo. This section offers stunning views of Mountains like Everest, cho-oyu, Lhotse, etc, valleys, glaciers, Kalapather and famous monastery Tangboche.

Day 09: Gokyo ri excursion and back to Gokyo village. We will reach Gokyo Ri in 3 hours and enjoy the stunning view of Everest, Makalu, Cho oyu, Lhotse, vast glacier valleys, deep Gokyo lakes and then return to Gokyo for overnight stay.

Day 10: Trek from Gokyo to Thangnak(4920m) which takes 4 - 5 hours. We descend to the Gokyo Lake below Gokyo, then cross the glacier. We visit Yak pastures at Chhugyuma on the eastern edge of the glacier and ascend a deserted valley below the southern part of Cho-la. En route the view of highest Himalayas, deep gorge and beautiful landscapes.

Day 11: Thangnak to Dzongla(4830m), we walk along glaciers through yak pastures, rocky fields and desert like areas. The day trek takes around 4 - 5 hours to accomplish. Views of Himalayas rising over the glacier valleys.

Day 12: After breakfast trek starts from Dzongla towards the village of Lobuche at the altitude of 4920m. It takes about 4 hours. ) The trail continues along the moraine from Dzongla affording you splendid views of Kala Pattar and Pumori before you reach Lobuche.

Day 13: Today we trek from Lobuche to Gorakhshep(5160m). The trail starts with gradual climb through the which is surrounded, by mountains. After a gradual climb and flat walking around the trail surrounded towering mountains you will reach Gorakshep which is also surrounded by mountains. You reach Gorakhshep after 2 - 3 hours walk. In the afternoon visit Everest base camp(5340m) and return back to Gorakshep for overnight stay.

Day 14: Early morning visit to Kalapatthar(5545m) for the best view of mighty Everest with its cousins Lhotse and Nuptse as well the view of other mountains like Makalu, Ama dablam, and many more. Descend back to Gorakhshep, after having lunch we walk downhill towards Dingboche(4410m). The climb up to Kalapatthar is very tough and lungs bursting taking about 2 -3 hours but worth a climb for its outstanding view and experience.

Day 15: Dingboche to Tengboche(3860m), a small village with the largest monastery of Khumbu region named Tangboche and the name of village is named after the name of this monastery. The trek is 5 - 6 hours. we ascend to pengboche(3930m) then gradual downhill until imja Khola bridge and sloppy steps through the forests of Rhododendron and dwarf fir.

Day 16: After having breakfast in tea house we resume our trek to Namche Bazaar(3440m) which takes around 3 hour of mostly downhill walks with less ascends. The trail descends up to Phunkithanka crossing the bridge of Dudh koshi river in Phunkithanka it is mostly steep ascent till Namche Bazaar.

Day 17: Trek back to Phakding at the altitude of 2610m via monjo village. It includes 3 - 4 hours of downhill walk. The trail passes through forests of Rhododendron, mongolia, firs, bamboo and other green vegetation with the view of rivers and green mountains with snow capped peaks.

Day 18: Trek starts after having breakfast in Phakding, with fluctuating trails all the way to Lukla(2840m) via forests, streams, rivers and small settlements of Sherpa people. The duration of this trek is approximately 3 hours. You can see the towering peak of Thamserku in the handy distance while walking on this section of trek.

Day 19: Morning flight towards Kathmandu (1350m), pick up from airport and transfer to your hotel. Free day in Kathmandu for resting, shopping or enjoyments.

Day 20: Sightseeing tour to Bhaktapur durbar square which is listed on world heritage site and is famous for the centuries old architectures of malla dynasty or leisure day.

Day 21: Transfer to airport and departure to your destination or go for other programs in Nepal.
