Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek is one of the short, by far most popular trekking destinations in north-western Nepal, in the Annapurna trekking region. Ghorepani Poon Hill trekking begins with a short flight or one-day drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara and then the trail continues through terraced foothills alongside Dhampus Ridge and passes through Landrung and Chomrong, the famous settlement of Gurung ethnic groups and finally, you will reach at Tatopani (natural hot spring) at Ghorepani, and have a short hike to Poon Hill for having the splendid sunrise view above the Himalayas and have incredible scenes of mountains. Subsequently, you will continue trekking to Ghasa Tukuche Marpha village (one of the best apple gardens in Nepal) and reach Muktinath, where you will explore the Hindu and Buddhist pilgrimage and then finally return back to Jomsom then you will fly back to Pokhara and subsequently to Kathmandu.

Day 07: Trek to Ghandruk (1940m), Ghandruk is a beautiful Gurung village with Nepali style houses.
Day 08: Trek from Ghandruk to Birepathi(1065m) which takes 4 5 hours and then one hour drive to City of Pokhara where you can rest and enjoy the evening or shop.
Day 09: About six hour tourist bus drive towards Kathmandu. Fair view of beautiful River trisuli along road side. Evening free for personal activities like shopping,rest or exploring around Thamel.
Day 10: Drive to International Airport for departure or extend your stay in Nepal.

Detail Itinerary

Day 01 :Arrival in Kathmandu, pick up and transfer to Hotel of your choice. After completing some official formalities you get free time to rest or explore local market around Thamel.
Day 02 :Whole day guided sightseeing tour around Kathmandu valley. Places include Pashuaptinath Temple, Kathmandu durbar square, Swayambhu stupa, Patan durbar square, etc. Pashupatinath Temple area, Bhaktapur durbar square is listed as World heritage sites.
Day 03 :Six hour drive from Kathmandu to the lakes city of Pokhara. Transfer to Hotel of your choice. Pokhara is popular for its Natural Beauty. It offers close view of mountains including Annapurna, Manaslu, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchure(Fish tail mountain) etc.
Day 04 :Morning drive to Nayapul (1 hr drive from Pokhara)after having breakfast. Trek from Nayapul (Birethati) to Tikhedhunga(1577m), it takes around 5 6 hour. Trail passes through Villages, rivers, streams, forest and paddy fields.
Day 05 :six hour trek to Ghorepati situated ataltitude of 2874m. We can see beautiful view of Machhapuchhare or Fish Tail (6997m.), Hiunchuli (6441m.), and Annapurna south (7219m) on our way to Ghorepani. Ghorepani is a inhabited mostly by Gurungs people.
Day 06 :Early morning hike to Poon Hill(3240m) for the breathtaking sunrise over Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m.), Tukuche Peak (6920m.), Nilgiri (6940m.), Varaha Shikhar (7847m.), Mt. Annapurna I (8091m.), Annapurna South (7219m.), Annapurna III (7855m.), Machhapuchhare
Day 07 :Trek to Ghandruk (1940m), Ghandruk is a beautiful Gurung village with Nepali style houses. From Ghandruk Fishtail (two) peak of Macchapuchure can be seen at almost eye on level accompanied with other peaks of Annapurna region. It takes about four hour. Trails are laid on Rhododendron, Bamboo, and oak forests.
Day 08 :Trek from Ghandruk to Birepathi(1065m) which takes 4 5 hours and then one hour drive to City of Pokhara where you can rest and enjoy the evening or shop.
Day 09 :About six hour tourist bus drive towards Kathmandu. Fair view of beautiful River trisuli along road side. Evening free for personal activities like shopping,rest or exploring around Thamel.
Day 10 :Drive to International Airport for departure or extend your stay in Nepal.
