Mt. Dhaulagiri (8,167 m) is the world´s seventh highest mountains. The trekking to Mt. Dhaulagiri region is one another most popular trekking destinations in Nepal. Dhaulagiri round trekking is all making a full round of this far flung mountain, located in the eastern Nepal. Mt. Dhaulagiri is the neighboring mountain of Mt. Annapurna. 

Dhaulagiri round trek also known as Dhaulagiri circuit trek primarily is one of the adventurous trip as because the trek revolves around the remote area. Mt. Dhaulagiri round trek leads you to the breathtaking hills of Mohare and Khopra settled by the Magar community. The trail offers you amazing views of Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Manaslu, Mt. Machhapuchre, Himal Chuli dominating in the northern horizon from west to the east. Similarly, you will be amazed with the rocky and sloppy hills filled with snow, spectacular landscapes, yak pastures, steamy forest full of flora and fauna and many more. Similarly, you will have an opportunity to explore the unique culture and rituals of various ethnic groups including Magar, Gurung, Sherpa, and others. The pristine pine, fir, and Rhododendron forests on the way to Mohare are home to wildlife such as the deer, snow leopard, birds, and some of the endangered birds. 

Mt. Dhaulagiri round trek begins with one day drive from Kathmandu to Beni Bazaar, then the trail continues along the terraced fields, lush forests and beautiful settlements of various ethnic groups and then the trail takes you to Italian base camp and then leads up to north face of Mt. Dhaulagiri, from where you will have perfect views of range of mountains and then the trail continues to north base camp of Mt. Dhaulagiri and finally the trail continues trekking to the French pass (5,240 m) and Thapa pass (5,155 m). After making an excursion around you will return back to Marpha village, a popular village in Mustang district, which is situated between majestic mountain of Annapurna, Nilgiri and Machhapuchhare, and then you will reach at Tatopani [hot water in Nepali], where we can have a bath as well and subsequently, you will descend down to Pokhara and finally back to Kathmandu.

  • Day 02: Beni to Darbang by bus
  • Day 03: Darbang trek to Chhahari
  • Day 04: Chhahari trek to Naura.
  • Day 05: Naura trek to Bogora.
  • Day 06: Bogora trek to Dovan
  • Day 07: Dovan trek to Shalaghari
  • Day 08: Shalaghari trek to Italy base camp.
  • Day 09: Rest for acclimatize day.
  • Day 10: Italy base camp trek to Glacier camp.
  • Day 11: Glacier camp trek to Dhaularigi base camp.
  • Day 12: Rest day and visit to glacier around Dhaualgiri base camp.
  • Day 13: Dhaulargiri base camp crossing to the French pass 5360m and trek to Hidden valley.
  • Day 14: Hidden valley crossing the thapa pass 5252m and trek to Yakkharka.
  • Day 15: Yakkharka trek to Marpha.
  • Day 16: Marpha trek to jomsom.
  • Day 17: In the morning by flight to Pokhara.
  • Day 18: free day Pokhara or buy tourist bus to Kathmandu.
  • Day 19: sightseeing in kathmandu valley ( symbhunath, kathmandu Darbar square, Pashupatinath and Buddhanath.
  • Day 20: Departure
