Tamang heritage trail trek is recently explored trekking trail in Langtang region. This new trekking trail offers amazing sceneries of snow capped mountains, unique culture, rituals, and lifestyles of Tamang ethnic community residing alongside of the trail. The trail lies in between Nepal Tibet border and the trail is regarded to have been once the trading route with Tibet. Exclusively, Tamang ethnic community resides alongside of the trail. They were the one who involved in such trade. Earlier they used to barter the salt and mountain goad (Changra) with foodstuffs from the Tibet, They still are involved in such similar kinds of trade. Tamang heritage trail trekking begins either from Dhunche or Syabrubesi and then the trail passes through Goljung, Gatlang, Chilime, Thuman, Timure and Briddim and finally the trail ends back in Syabrubesi or follow the trail to Briddim village via Khanjim, where there is the facility of unique home stay program. In Khanjim, you can stay as a pen guest explore the heritages of Tamang ethnic groups densely populated mainly in Goljung and Gatlang and there are the numerous of ancient Buddhist monastery, Chorten, manis, you can explore them and visit to Parvatikunda Lake at Gatlang and have superb views of a dozens of mountain ranges namely of Kerung, and the Ganesh Himal, Sanjen Himal ranges and then continue to Tatopani, the natural hotspring, en route from Gatlang to Chilime and finally get back to Briddim and subsequently return back to Syabrubesi and drive back to Kathmandu.
